Humanities Texas, formerly the Texas Council for the Humanities, is the state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Established by the Congress in 1965, the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) supports research, education, and public programs in the humanities. In 2005, TEXAS STORIES received a matching NEH We the People grant.
The Summerlee Foundation was created in 1988 by Dallas philanthropist Annie Lee Roberts. It is a private, non-profit charitable foundation that supports research and education projects on the history of Texas and programs dedicated to animal protection. In 2005, TEXAS STORIES received a matching grant from the Summerlee Foundation.
