It's Weekly! It's Free!
In addition to telling stories Online, TEXAS STORIES will reach a large, diverse audience through its weekly e-Newsletter. Travelers, historians, students, teachers, parents, "Texas enthusiasts" -- and anyone interested in learning about the Lone Star State -- are invited to subscribe to this free weekly offering.
A New Story - A New Winner Every Week
Every Friday subscribers will receive a new Edition, which will include links to the upcoming week's programming and to an weekly feature called What’s My Story? The newsletter will feature prize information, an invitation to enter the current Contest, and an announcement of the Winner of the previous week’s drawing.
Meet Authors and Historians
The e-Newsletter will feature excerpts from a recent audio interview with a historian, author, museum curator or other guest talking about a new Texas History publication, a Moment in Texas' Past or What's Happening in Texas History Today.
Recurring Features
Regular columns, such as Texas Treaures, will showcase some of Texas' most famous documents and artifacts. Here we’ll share an image and information about a treasure housed at the Texas State Library and Archives, the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, the Center for American History or other Texas institution.
More Stories
In time, subscribers will also be able to listen to host Timothy Patrick Miller reading short stories (in weekly episodes) by William Sydney Porter (O. Henry) and other Texas authors, or share their personal stories or recollections about Texas' past on our Story Board.
Sponsor Benefits, too!
As a Sponsor, Your Logo or Ad w/link will be featured within each weekly e-Newsletter. Other businesses and organizations will be invited to promote their Texas History publications or Texas-themed products plus sponsor features, interviews, book reviews and upcoming Audio Event Clips in our weekly calendar listings.
As TEXAS STORIES grows, so, too, will our e-Newsletter’s offerings and subscribers. It’s just another fun, new way to bring you TEXAS STORIES –- Online.
