We hope you like our TEXAS STORIES logo. We certainly do! It was adapted from a 1940s era Curt Teich large letter Greetings from Texas postcard, now in the public domain.
The Curt Teich Company, located in Chicago and in operation from 1898 to 1978, was once the world’s largest postcard manufacturer (see postcard). Today the Curt Teich Postcard Archives is housed at the Lake County Discovery Museum in Wauconda, Illinois.

The Archives contains more than 10,000 images of cities and towns in North America and 87 foreign countries, plus an additional 365,000 postcards featuring thousands of subjects. The company’s artists captured a unique mood and time in American popular culture, and their "Texas" images are part of our state’s colorful past.
We love these and other vintage images and are delighted to present a small sampling of them on our web site. Look for BIG LETTER cards featured on each City page in the Texas Radio Stations section of this site. (We're looking for BIG LETTER postcards for our Texas City pages. (See sample.) Please contact us if you have some to share!)
The good folks at the Curt Teich Postcard Archives welcome opportunities to keep this wonderful period art before the public and invite you to visit their web site to learn more.
