TEXAS STORIES is about the people, places and events that have shaped the Story of the Lone Star State. And who better to tell the story than the people themselves! We're inviting Texas historians, folklorists and preservationists ... state agencies, museums and historical organizations ... people involved in promoting Texas history, historic preservation and cultural tourism ... to recommend topics for our program and be featured in our interview shows. We also encourage listeners to tell us the stories they'd like to hear - especially those that are important to their communities.
By contributing story ideas, offering expertise and sharing educational resources, these individuals and organizations will help insure that TEXAS STORIES’ content will be accurately presented and meaningful to all Texans. Additionally, an editor of the Texas State Historical Association’s Handbook of Texas will review each radio script prior to broadcast. TEXAS STORIES extends its appreciation to the following organizations and individuals who have agreed to assist us.
